The Roman shield was not only to protect the individual soldier but also to protect the Roman community as a whole. The shield is square so a unit in battle could shield themselves against an enemy without any holes in their defense. The Roman lions were not to be messed with.

All Liontouch pretend-play items are made from EVA foam, ensuring play remains safe! EVA foam is very light, waterproof, insulating and shock absorbing.
